GODDESS GAYATRI
In Hinduism there is a simple prayer in the form of Vedic hymn which is called “Gayatri Mantra”.
This Gayatri Mantra is a highly revered mantra in Hindu Religion. It is a sacred Hindu chant.
It is widely used in meditation & listening to this chant brings peace of mind.
As per Bhagavad Gita God is present in the form of WORD as “Gayatri Mantra”.
The Gayatri mantra is found in all the four Vedas in Hindu religion.
Gayatri Mantra is the foremost mantra in Hindu religion and Hindu beliefs & it inspires wisdom.
The mantra is also a prayer to the “giver of light and life” – the sun.

ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः ।
तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं ।
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि ।
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥
Lyrics
AUM BHOOR BHUWAH SWAHA,
TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM
BHARGO DEVASAYA DHEEMAHI
DHIYO YO NAHA PRACHODAYAT.
Meaning
Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction.
Telugu with Meaning
”ఓం భూర్బువస్సువః – తత్సవితుర్వ రేణ్యం
భర్గోదేవస్య ధీమహి – ధీయో యోనః ప్రచోదయాత్‌!”
గాయత్రికి మూడు పేర్లు. అవి గాయత్రి, సావిత్రి, సరస్వతి. ఇంద్రియములకు నాయకత్వం వహించునది గాయత్రి, సత్యమును పోషించునది సావిత్రి, వాగ్ధేవతా స్వరూపిణి సరస్వతి. అనగా హృదయము, వాక్కు, క్రియ… ఈ త్రికరణ శుద్ధి గావింఛునదే గాయత్రి మంత్రము. సకల వేదముల సారము ఈ గాయత్రి మంత్రము. ఈమెకు తొమ్మిది వర్ణనలున్నాయి.

ఓం : ప్రణవనాదం
భూః : భూలోకం, పదార్ధముల చేరిక, దేహము, హృదయం, మెటీరియలైజేషన్‌
భూవః : రువర్లోకం, ప్రాణశక్తి, వైబ్రేషన్‌
సువః : స్వర్గలోకం, ప్రజ్ఞానము, రేడియేషన్‌ ఈ మూడు లోకములు మన శరీరములోనే వున్నవి.
తత్‌ : ఆ
సవితుర్‌ : సమస్త జగత్తును
వరేణ్యం : వరింపదగిన
భర్గో : అజ్ఞానాంధకారమును తొలగించునట్టి
దేవస్య : స్వయం ప్రకాశ స్వరపమైన బ్రహ్మను
ధీమహి : ధ్యానించుచున్నాను
ధీయోయోనః ప్రచోదయాత్‌ : ప్రార్ధించుచున్నాను కనుక వర్ణన, ధ్యానము, ప్రార్ధన – ఈ మూడు ఒక్క గాయత్రీ మంత్రములోనే లీనమై ఉన్నవి.
